Paulina Market

I love Paulina Market. Like, true love kind of love.  Of all the places where I procure edibles, Paulina is my all-time favorite.  And I know this probably sounds strange to anyone who has known me for longer than 4 years, seeing as how I used to be that vegan that argued with the butchers in NY because I was appalled by the meat hanging in their store windows, but it’s true.  I originally discovered them on my hunt for veal sausage, something my parents used to procure from our local butcher when I was a kid in NY.  Living in southern Virginia, that stuff just doesn’t exist but I knew when I moved here that I’d be able to find it.  And, in finding the bockwurst, I found my butcher.  My spot.  My go-to-place for anything and EVERYTHING that comes from an animal.

They have a huge selection of sausages and baby hot dogs, another childhood favorite.

And meat.  Every cut.  From every animal.

I dream of the day when we take some of these babies home. Mmmmm.

We never leave Paulina without one of their Spicy Lamb Stix.  It’s the perfect snack.

Speaking of perfect, they’ve got the best service.  This is Dave. Dave helped us the first time we went in and he’s been taking care of us ever since.

They also have a ton of prepared food.  Their corned beef hash is out of this world!

They even have dog food!  What can’t you get there?!

Paulina Market is located at 3501 N. Lincoln Ave. at the corner of Lincoln & Cornelia.  Their hours vary by day and they are closed on Sundays.  Follow them on Twitter: @paulinamarket.
